Temple Activities

The temple houses the beautiful deities of of Radha Krishna, Sita Ram and our Guru Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. Selfless devotion to God and Guru is taught and practiced here. Aarti and satsang form the basis of the daily practice of devotion. Discourses by Siddheshvari Didi Ji and visiting preachers of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, along with easy access to devotional literature, audio CDs and video DVDs help individuals and families advance on the spiritual path. Major Hindu festivals such as Shivratri, Holi, Ram Naumi, Guru Poornima, Janmashtami, Radhashtami and Divali are celebrated here with great enthusiasm and devotion.

Weekly satsangs are held every Sunday from 10AM to 12 Noon. The typical satsang schedule is as follows:

Temple activities — frequently asked

When is the weekly satsang?

Weekly satsang is held every Sunday from 10 AM to 12 noon: prayer, bhajans, a video discourse by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, parallel classes for children, aarti and lunch prasad.

What classes are offered at Sunday School?

Hinduism, Dholak, Harmonium, Dance, Singing, Indian languages such as Hindi, and a Leadership Workshop. Registration is through portalyk.yugalkunj.org.

Is there a dress code?

There is no strict dress code. Modest, comfortable clothing is appreciated; shoes are removed before entering the temple hall.

Can I attend if I am not Hindu?

Yes. Yugal Kunj welcomes people of all faiths and backgrounds to aarti, satsang, festivals and classes. There is no entry fee.

Is prasad served?

Yes. Lunch prasad (a free vegetarian meal) is served after the Sunday satsang, and prasad is distributed at festivals.
